laggy ahh game

i’ve been simming for super long. about 2 weeks ago, my game would randomly start crashing after 15min-1hour of gameplay so i bought a new drive because i thought maybe my old one had gotten corrupted but after the switch i was still having the same issue. i then removed all my mods and didnt play until post update. when i launched my game i was still having the same problem. so i did some research and i created a new folder and did the whole “sims 4 old” thing but i deleted the entire folder by mistake and since launching my game it is sooo laggy. the first time i launched it after deleting the “old”folder i got a pop up abt a missing video game card and its been moving slow ever since. sorry this is so long but if you can help plz do 😵‍💫?

For the crashing and lag, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

  • I've been having the same issue!! its driving me insane. i have a brand-new computer !

  • mills1227  Does the game run better if you restart your computer immediately before playing, and don't open anything other than the EA App?  I ask because your laptop's 6 GB available RAM (2 GB is reserved for the graphics chip) is enough to run Sims 4 and Windows but not much else.  So please test and let me know.  If it doesn't help, restart and try again, this time with your computer offline.  You can put the EA App in offline mode and then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.

Hippiechk_420  Please create your own thread describing your issue, and attach a dxdiag.
