My sim is stuck on a lot, and I cannot get to her

Do you remember what the error code number was?
On the world map, enter the family management panel - on the top right - and move your family to any empty lot. Choose options - "sell home equipment" and then bring the family back to the old house. Home furnishings will be the same as before moving out.

By the way - do you have any mods in the game?
