My sim keeps freezing?

Hi, so this issue just started last night, I’ve been playing with no issues since the update until this. My sim will freeze, or won’t perform actions but be moving, and time keeps going. I have to reset sim to fix it but then it happens again a few minutes later. I repaired my game and it did not help. I tested another save file and it worked fine… it’s just this one. I tried deleting the save file and then renaming one of the backups as .save as I read that online as a potential way to fix it. But that did not work either. I have no idea why this one won’t work and I really don’t want to play a different save or start over :( 

I do play with mods, mostly mccc and then littlbowbubs cookbooks, and an inventory transfer one. But they are all up to date and as I said the issue just started last night.

    Breezycherie​  Try without your mods; you don't need to save your progress.

    If that doesn't help, try moving the sim to a different lot, either blank or with a default EA build (nothing from the Gallery or your own library).  If that doesn't help either, empty out the sim's personal inventory, the household inventory, and any object inventories like fridges.  You don't need to save your progress here either, and you can try these in either order.
