My Sims 4 library filled with duplicated bugged pictures and Sims save as CC

There is this annoying bug or glitch with the Sims 4 gallery. I don't know much about CC or mods and I don't use them or haven't downloaded any software to install them; as far as I know, I don't use them. But I have downloaded houses from the gallery and when I go to view them in my library, there are multiple, triple, quadruple duplicated pictures of some of the houses that I have downloaded from the gallery. But they aren't just regular downloads: I can't delete them, where the original creators name should be, it shows my name instead also when I click the picture to view one of the replicated houses this weird blue screen pops up with a bunch of flickering and glitching icons and it gets better 🙂 I can't delete any of them!

I have tried everything. This my third time clearing out the tray cache from The Sims 4 folder, I moved the folder that was labeled "Mods" to my desktop as requested from another forum site- DIDN'T WORK!

Also, some of my sims that are DEFINITELY NOT "modded" nor do they contain "CC" are labeled as "CC"?!? It seems that when I first create them and they naturally save to my folder, they're fine but once I place them in my game and play with them and help them gain skill points, they save as CC. I can't possibly download any other add on packs with these problems.

It didn't work but after returning back to the game after a few weeks, I accepted a couple of updates, emptied my entire tray and just re-downloaded everything I wanted from the gallery and the problem was gone, as far as I can see. Happy about that.

    Thanks again 🙂

  • Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

As for the downloads being marked as CC, there's a few problems around. Check the threads listed here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4-Bug-Reports/READ-FIRST-Compiled-list-of-Bugs/m-p/3445209#Gallery
