My sims game stops after a few minutes

Question

I've recently decided to download my sims game onto an external hard drive, but after a few minutes of running the game, it crashes and closes on its own. I already ran a mod conflict detector and deleted any that seemed like a problem. I have no idea what the issue could be. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.&nbsp;

@nana13000&nbsp; Please test with no mods or custom content at all, to be thorough.&nbsp; You don't need to save your progress.

If your current save still crashes, please try a new save, still with no mods or cc.&nbsp; If the new save crashes too, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
