My sims get stuck every time they wash their hands in their house bathroom

I currently built a house for my sims to start a family in and ever since I built it, when they wash their hands they get stuck in the room. It doesn't happen if they don't wash their hands but the second they do, they say somethings in their way preventing them from leaving. I've tried the whole 'leave the lot' tip but it doesn't fix it and the reset sim cheat works temporarily, as they get glitched again the next time they wash their hands. I've tried looking up other things to try but I'm coming up empty.

    Update: It is no longer just from washing their hands. I removed the sink entirely to try to fix the glitch and the second one of them went to the bathroom, they got stuck again.

    I don't know what they are seeing but my adult sim will got to the bathroom then wash his hands and be unable to move.  There was a second bug where he couldn't upgrade the tub and shower combo.  But I managed to fix the shower one by selling the tub and buying a new one.  For reference my bathroom sink is to the right of the bathroom door.  My bathroom is a 3 by 3 cause that's how I build mine in the Sims 4 game.  He will just wave his hand and have the walking symbol with an x on it if I ask him to do any other interactions or move anywhere.  He will sit there and play on his phone until I either move the sink away then back or cheat teleport him out of the situation.

    I just start the game over after saving it. It works every time. I think the game just crashed and had to be restarted.
