my sims keep losing all there skills when I age them and change appearance

Question

Everytime I age my sims from children to teens to young adult I always lose my traits that I maxed out. When they age up they dont have anymore skills. It is all blank even though I mastered logic and charisma.

The skill they learn as kids don't carry over since they are different but the ones you make as a teen should,
