my sims suddently stopped working

a few days ago my sims suddently wouldnt open from the launcher, ive tried searching on the internet but i havent gotten any answers. when i click the launch button from the ea app, it closes out as if its starting up the game, then it opens the ea app again. the game doesnt get launched, ive looked in the task manager on my pc and the sims doesnt appear there. ive tried repairing the game, uninstalling and installing again, moved the game to a different disk, seen if my disk needed updates and nothing has worked so far.

on the internet it says i either have to update my disks which are already updated, or that ive got a virus but ive recently wiped my pc and its not doing the same to other games. i have plenty of disk space and the game hasnt crashed before. ive got a pretty powerful pc so i dont think thats the issue.

anyone got any ideas?

im kinda new to this and im sorry if this has been answered before :c

  • @tanquilsio  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please post a new dxdiag.
