New relationship added from mousing over sim with beloved trait w/o interactions

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.63.136.1010
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? base game
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a new game and move in a single sim household without any relationship. Complete "Friend of the World" aspiration to get the reward trait "Beloved", or you may add the trait with the code "legendary". Just to be sure, add the buff of the trait with the code 27092 as well. Now go to a pub and mouse over an unknown adult sim. You will see the relationship added to that character's list at 0 point relationship. This bug used to happen only when you click on that sim. Now you just mouse over and this makes the list grow super large.
What happens when the bug occurs? This bug makes it so that when you mouse over an unknown sim, the relationship is added to the character list at 0 point relataionship without any interactions between them. This only happens with young adult sims or older. Teens or children are not added to the list just by mousing over. This makes the list grow very large and hard to find sims you want to interact with.
What do you expect to see? Relationship shouldn't be added when simply moused over without interactions especially when it remains at 0. This als prevents the list from growing too large and makes it hard to find sims.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I don't remember since when this happened. But if I remember correctly, this mouse over thing happens after the university patch is installed. Before that, it required clicking first but no interactions needed to add that relationship etiher.

Nothing to add

  • @lampuiho Hmm, tested this. Made sure I had the trait and the buff (used aspiration complete cheat) on a fresh save and only people my Sim actually talked to were added to his relationship panel.

He did start talking to one Sim on his own and the Sim was added before he actually reached the Sim itself but since it was something he did on his own, I guess it already counted ?

Did you test this on a save that never had mods in ?

  • What was the solution? I am having the same issue. Its so annoying that it's kind of making me want to not play anymore.

My apologies for the late reply. I think I found a workaround. The issue is with the Beloved trait. The issue stopped when I removed the trait.

But to answer your question yes I did have mods installed.

  • It comes from either the Attractiveness feature or Impression feature of WW. Disable them if you don't want sims getting "attracted" just from you walking around.
