newcrest update

i have been trying to update my sims 4 to play since it won't let me unless i update, but no matter what i do it just says "verifying game files" then after about 10 minutes, gives me an error message. i've added origin to my firewall, i've reinstalled origin, i've restarted my computer countless times, it just won't update.

please help also ignore my username my sister was mad at me when she made it

  • Hi @faerysims ,

    Have you tried cleaning Origin cache files?

    To do that delete the following files:

    Delete the content of: C:\ProgramData\Origin -- Except for the following sub directory:
    DO NOT DELETE: C:\ProgramData\Origin\LocalContent
    Delete: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Origin
    Delete: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Origin

    ========
    XP = "Thank you!" / "¡Gracias!"
    "Accept as solution" = "This solved my problem!" / "¡Esto ha solucionado el problema!"
