@thefailedbeta Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Please also let me know what antivirus you use, if any.
@puzzlezaddict Here's the dxdiag, and I have Microsoft Defender Antivirus on this device.

@thefailedbeta Please uninstall and reinstall the CMedia Audio driver, which, according to your dxdiag, is crashing quite a lot. Click Windows key-X, select the Device Manager, open the Audio section, right-click on anything with CMedia in the name, and uninstall. Check the Sound section too. Then install the newest driver from Asus, dated August 16, and the HSA add-on. You can find both here:
Restart your computer before trying to play, and let me know how it goes.
I'd also suggest uninstalling Armoury Crate if you don't have a specific use for it; it's been crashing too. Asus makes good hardware, but the software can be hit or miss.

I gave it a try. I have no real way to know if it worked or not, because it was an incredibly rare issue. It's only happened maybe 5 times in the last month, and I launch and play the sims upwards of 4 times each day. If it pops up again, I'll let ya know. Thanks for your help.
