No 'Try for Baby' option in Sims 4

I had made a family using cas in february. I opened my game yesterday and undated both Origin and the Sims. I moved the family i had created into Windenburg and had them get married. I now want to get...

    Hi @heyyitscourtney2,

    Is there any chance those sims have custom gender settings? Keep in mind that one of the sims needs to be able to become pregnant while the other needs to be able to get others pregnant for them to be able to try for a baby.

Are you sure she is not already pregnant?

How many are there in the household? There is a max of 8 sims.

If either of the above is true there will not be an option to try for baby. The same holds true if there is another Sim that is pregnant and that will result in the total reaching 8. (Note that a sim can have triplets).

    Right now there's only a Husband, wife and a toddler that i adopted. i am postitive she isn't pregnant.

        If it isn't one of the above fixes, maybe it's a custom content related action. This happened to me before and it was just a mod conflicting with the option. If you have mods, try emptying the folder and then seeing if your game works. Put it back in batches to determine which cc is broken.

    I only have 2 Sims in my home, no cheats or mods, and I double checked to make sure one could impregnate and the other can be pregnant. Everything is in order but I don't have option for try for baby. Only to whoohoo.

      @AKCkittkitty2 Did you try on the bed as well as clicking on the Sims ? Are both at least young adult ?

        Yes I have. And I don't have the option for try for baby. Yes there both of age. They aged to adults about a week ago..

    i know my sims isnt pregnant and there isnt 8 sims in the house. HELP!!!

      Hi @LeneyD - did you check the other solutions in this thread? 

      • Remove mods & cc.
      • Check custom gender settings of both sims. One has to be able to be impregnated & one has to be able to impregnate
      • Young Adult or Adult; teens & elders can't get pregnant
      • No one in the household pregnant, including pets, that could put the household up to 8 sims. Remember it's possible to have triplets
      • If the house they're in was from the gallery, try moving to a different house that came with the game
      • Try clicking on all combinations - is the option there from one sim but not the other? Do you get the option if you click on the bed? Other places (bush, rocket ship, waterfall depending on what's available in your game)

      Can they woohoo on the bed? What if you try another bed? Do they have an existing romantic relationship? Can other sims in the household try for baby with anyone? 

      If it is still an issue after checking all of this, reply back & tell us what happened.

        I have this issue too. I only get the wohoo option. One of the sims is an npc and I cannot edit him in cas nor can I even see what his gender settings are. Maybe I have to send her out cheating. She has the fertile trait and they are both adult. There are 3 cats and no kids in the household. My sim has try for baby as a whim. The npc is Morgyn Ember. Her father is Father Winter. I only pair my sims up with npc partners it seems. ☹️
