none of my mods are working sims 4

PLEASE HELP ME 
before the update i had a bunch of mods that worked in the game absolutely fine, 

custom content has now been disabled and i have followed instructions from people about how to re-enable them, but every time i load the game to play with my mods a message tells me that custom content has been disabled. 

Every single time i try to re-enable it tells me to restart the game and when i do it had been disabled again.

Please someone help, 

i have tested all my mods and non of them are broken or threaten my game 

please somebody give me a fix for this because i have some beautiful mods that i cant use

    Is the flag disabled each time ?

    If so, try moving this file to the desktop: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\Options(.ini) then start the game again.

    All your settings will reset but then go to your game options to reset them all. Hopefully the mods one will then stick

    what if i dont have an options folder in my sims 4 folder . could that be an issue ?

    It's not a folder, it's a file.

    It's either called Options or Options.ini depending if you have have extensions showing or not.

    Do I put that file in the folder, or on my desktop?

    @anims21 if you are replying to that, put that file on the desktop and restart your game, a new file will get made when you start the game.

    Ah! Something different has been happening to me similar to that.. After downloading the extreme violence mod and deleting it file by file since it was crashing my game, I started up my game and none of my CC worked! Not at all! After this update bunches of people complained. I hate this update so much! I kept restarting my game and my CC still didn't  even pop up in CAS.
