Do I just make a new folder and make that as the new directory? Because that didn't work.
You do have admin rights on your computer, right ?
You basically just change the location in Origin to say c:\programs(x86)\Origin_Games to just c:\Origin_Games or to c:\programs(x86)\electronicarts.
It should then automatically create that folder.

Same error ? Did you have the error or Bejeweled before too ?
Do you have admin rights ? Maybe try staring Origin as administrator too

Did you get more help at the official forum now ? Saw that you also made a thread there.
Did you try starting Origin as administrator ?
- Anonymous9 years agoIt's doing the same to me. I did everything I read but it still won't work

Did you try reinstalling Origin manually yet ? Here's instructions: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/
What path is set in Origin ?

@SusuGurl Ok downloading 101 - When something is chosen to be downloaded the file(s) start downloading to a temp folder which is determined by a setting in the client software you are using. When the download is complete, the file(s) are then copied to the actual destination folder that is determined by the program. The Sims 4 installer is a LARGE download so if you know that there are 2 images (the temp and the destination locations) that means you need twice the amount of free space just to download TS4. Other operating system programs are doing the same thing so free space on your system storage device is a premium commodity. Some files when moved become fragmented (some systems write data fragmented for faster reading due to disc rotation - lesson for another time). I have most noticed an issue of not enough free space in computers with the small ssds that seem to be very popular today. The downloading process is actually very complicated as there are integrity checks and other things that go on during a download. The biggest issue in a download is the validity of the data as travels from the point of origin to the destination. While hardwired is preferable, wifi could encounter errors more readily and cause the data to be resent thus causing the download to take longer. So you now have a temp download that may or may not get deleted after copy, the copied download (installer), and the game after it is installed which may have had compressed files making it larger then the installer. Today's games are getting larger and larger and as computer resolutions continue to be more dense I can only see games getting even larger.

Hi @SusuGurl,
Could you check in your hard drive how much free space you have? As @roberta591 explained, it might just be an issue of not having enough free space 🙂
Thanks,
