Help please

So yesterday I was updating TS4 and after the update, I tried to play but it kept saying "Unable to start Missing game files" I checked my folder and it seemed normal, other than the fact that I had to move my mods to a USB drive to have the game update for storage, but I didn't think much of it till I tried to play again except with the mods, it said the same thing so I went online and tried to see how to fix it but nothing worked, so I finally decided to make this post and hoping I could get some help with this problem (prob will check for a response tomorrow cause I'll be out)

I can't sign into my OneDrive because my mom has the password to my account, I already tried to repair the game, I can't make another Admin acc, I'm not sure how to clean the user folder, and I already tried to reinstall the game, but none of these work, and I think that the 50/50 method will take way too long, especially since I have 3,969 or something mods, so that'll take FOREVER

  • Nightmaresans500  The user folder is the Sims 4 folder that contains user files like saves and mods.  It's in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.  However, your computer has several Documents folders.  Windows designates one as the Documents directory, and Sims 4 tries to use that folder too.

Allowing OneDrive to sync your documents means that OneDrive changes the Documents directory to this:

    C:\Users\your username\OneDrive\Documents

Simply disabling OneDrive, or being unable to sign in, does NOT change the location back.  So you need to get rid of OneDrive the proper way, as described in the guide I linked.
