Did the Sim die on the job ? Are you using mods in your game ?
No she died at home, got old and the reaper came to get her. No mods, I don't think. Nothing I have downloaded, so I don't think so. Just the game. maybe a bug?, and I have to re install the game?.. I just got the game about 5 days ago. So I don't know. Worked fine at first, but once she died it stopped giving me options for my other sims.
Try moving the entire family out via manage world and back in. Use cheats like motherload (gives you §50'000) or freerealestate (house doesn't cost anything) if you don't have enough money to rebuy the house.
