"Not Responding" Even After Trying Previous Solutions

Okay. So. I just bought the Sims 4 and I have played it a total of one time. Though, now I want to come back to play it, and it launches, but doesn't go so far as the Sims 4 title screen. It plays music, but only one song. And it says "Not Responding"

Now, I have gone through the motions of trying to fix the "Not Responding" issue. Unchecked the Origin in Game and even reinstalled Origin several times. I've even reinstalled Sims 4 several times. No matter what I do, it also goes back to the "Not Responding" situation

Please help so I just didn't spend 40 dollars on a game that doesn't work.

    Hi @abby_kristine02

    Did the game work fine that first time you played it? For how long did you play? Are you sure your computer meets the minimum requirements for the game?

    If you installed any mods or CC after that first time you played, please remove them.

    If that's not the issue, then put Origin in offline mode and try to launch the game again.

    If that doesn't work, then try resetting the game files following the instructions here.
