So I'm testing my game without mods after the update. It took me to manage worlds and I decided to load my household. It was loading for so long and then did the not responding thing. It then went back to loading and eventually loaded. I'm not sure why this is happening. Also it never lets me post in tech issues pc.
LucyLovesMarvel There are going to be at least a few notes in the Reliability Monitor. Do you mean that you didn't see any Sims-related errors, or that you didn't see anything at all? If you can't see any info, you're not looking in the right place.
For the old save, how large is it? You can see the size in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves. And do you use Windows Defender or a third-party antivirus? Defender's Controlled Folder Access sometimes causes problems with the game, and another user recently said it was blocking them from saving their progress in their large save due to the sheer size. But a new save would be much smaller and presumably be unaffected.
I didnt see anything sims related, just something with my laptop updating!
I have the mcAfee thungy, its pre installed and nothign is set up on it, I'm not sure if that would do anything but happy to uninstall if nessicary! The save file size is 71,245kb (65.5mb)
LucyLovesMarvel McAfee isn't usually an issue, but any antivirus can act up suddenly and for no apparent reason. McAfee also isn't any better than Windows Defender in most cases. So if you don't particularly want to use it, here's how to remove it safely (the consumer product removal tool):

65 MB isn't necessarily excessively large for a save, but it might be large enough to trigger the antivirus you're using to object. So if removing McAfee doesn't help, check Windows Defender's Controlled Folder Access settings (again, if you have already, since it might have disabled itself while McAfee was running) to make sure it's not blocking anything Sims 4-related.
I've had a look and it dosent look like windows defender is blocking anything
LucyLovesMarvel Did you specifically check Controlled Folder Access though? I don't mean to drag this out, but if that's the issue, all the other troubleshooting in the world won't help. Here's a guide:

Please either disable CFA entirely or set exceptions for TS4_x64.exe and EADesktop.exe, whichever you prefer. And if that doesn't help, please post a fresh dxdiag.

Speaking of which, everything seems okay, nothing to do with sims is blocked, however I'm doing the allow app thing and i cant find my sims app in my computer. Its through the ea app (Clarifying cuz i think some peopel have it through steam)

C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
You can see the install location in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.
