objects turning into ash

Hi I'm having an issue where any object custom or from packs such as Strangerville etc if placed in build/buy mode are fine but when moving them they instantly turn into piles of ash, i recently had to repair my game due to my sims being unable to travel anywhere, that was fixed but now my objects (plants build/buy, rugs etc..) are just straight up going poof into ash. this also happens when i try to download houses from the gallery any objects (plants and deco) just dissapear into ash, but if i choose the house unfurnished its fine?? if anyone has an idea of what could be causing the problem i would be extremely grateful.

i use sims 4 PC all packs and expansions are installed and i do use CC and Mods, but i havent changed what cc i have installed and it didnt do this before so im unsure if that is the cause of the problem.

haven't been able to get a screenshot of this bug/glitch.

    @DNF2 Could you test if the same happens on a game with no cc/mods installed ? Mods/CC get outdated with patches so it's possible that something is no longer compatible.

    Backup your user folder beforehand, then remove your mods and test without.

    Okay i backed up the folder and tried it without the mods/cc and that worked, so it must have been the mods/cc but all the mods/cc i use are up to date so i placed them back into the game bit by bit and everything seems to be working now, but i still have no idea what caused the problem to begin with? but at least my game is working now so.

    @DNF2 Pls if you figure out what’s causing this say so, I have the same problem but can’t figure it out
