One of my purchased pack is telling my to rebuy it

I have been playing and making sims for a while now, I DO HAVE the get-to-work pack my alien family wears the pack's clothes one of my family are detectives. I downloaded cursed forge for mods.. now after weeks I can not play my saves EA is telling me I do not own get to work so I either have to delete the 1000 + hours of work I have put into my Sims 4 houses or buy the pack again. Has anyone else had this problem? EA website is glitching out so I can not chat with them it just keeps saying sorry page is not found and keeps reloading. What can I do to fix this please someone help EA has forsaken me. I've spent A LOT A TON of money on packs and addons now I can't even play my game none of my saves will let me unless I buy the pack I already own again. What do I do I have tried to repair I've tried to communicate with EA but it keeps telling me the page can not be found or its a problem with my internet. NONE of which are true.

  • @spizzo30   Hello!  Did you purchase Get To Work through Origin or through a second party like Steam?  If you purchased from Steam or another seller, you may need to uninstall the game and reinstall it and launch the game using the second party seller's application.  Before doing anything, I suggest making a backup of your user folder to preserve all your save files and such. Go into your Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder and copy the TS4 folder and paste it to your desktop or some other folder where you can find it easily.  

    While researching a different topic, I learned there is an EAUpdater program that may help.   Go to your Windows / Program Files / Electronic Arts / EA Desktop / EA Desktop folder and run the EAUpdater program. Allow the updater to run and then launch the game.

    Please come back and update whether or not reinstalling or the Updater program worked.

  • @JonaO703 Thank you so much for your very detailed response, unfortunately, I only purchase through Origin, because I want everything to be up to date and be located in the same place I did think of this however, and did update my Steam account anyways to make sure it wasn't somehow running interference with my EA launcher. I also performed a Sim 4 repair and restarted everything including my computer. I have not run the EAUpdater program so I will try that now. Thank you so much for your help!!!

    @spizzo30  Please open your EA App game library, click Sims 4, select Manage > Manage add-ons, and let me know whether Get to Work is on the list.  If it is, please also let me know what it says underneath, e.g. Installed or in-game content.

    Additionally, do you or did you ever have an EA Play subscription?

  • Omg the same happened to me and I still couldn’t fix it. I contacted EA two days ago, but haven’t got a reply yet. Two of my packs are just gone like I never purchased them, but they took my money from my bank account. I’m so mad rn! If you find a solution please tell me!!!
