Re: Sims won't connect to internet/go online

Ever since the June 30, 2026 big update, I cannot connect to game after launching to main menu. It shows my status as "offline" even though I am "online" in the EA App. When I select to open the MarketPlace or open the Gallery, a box pops up and I am prompted to either "stay offline" or "connect". I chose to "connect" and the game just seems to stay in a loop of attempting to connect until I select "stay offline" which stops the game from attempting to connect. I have attempted multiple manner of fixes: repair the game; clear the cache via EA App; repair EA App; delete localthumbcache.package; remove old Sims 4 folder and start with fresh folder devoid of mods; checked my firewall (which Sims 4 has permissions); powe-cycled router. None of these fixes have restored connectivity when in game. I am playing on PC, and my Sims 4 version is 1.125.59.1030 DX11.

EA please fix the Sims 4 online. It is impossible to log in to the market and gallery. I've tried everything to make the game work.

I have the same problem. The market and gallery are not working. The game just won't connect to the internet.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app. The problem persists. Deleting the Tempfolder didn't help either.

I have the same problem. I wanted to go to the marketplace, but the game doesn't catch the Internet.

    Hello,

I have a problem with The Sims 4 on PC.

The game is always offline. When I open the Gallery, I see the “Connect” button. After clicking it, it loads forever and never connects. The Gallery always shows “No Results”.

EA App is online and I am logged into my account. The Sims 4 Gallery also works normally in my web browser.

I have already tried all standard troubleshooting steps:

    • Repaired the game.
    • Cleared the EA App cache.
    • Created a completely new The Sims 4 folder in Documents.
    • Tested with a different EA account.
    • Tested with a different internet connection (including a mobile hotspot).
    • Disabled antivirus and checked Windows Firewall.
    • Reset Winsock and flushed DNS.
    • Checked the hosts file.
    • Reinstalled the game.

None of these steps changed anything.

The problem started suddenly. The Gallery worked normally before, and then one day the game could no longer connect to EA online services.

Since the Gallery works in my browser and EA App is online, it seems that only the game itself cannot authenticate with EA online services.

Has anyone experienced this issue or is there any additional troubleshooting that I can try?

    Thank you.

crinrict Thank you for the general tips but I was able to resolve the issue by following the instructions given by puzzlezaddict (on a post by DinosaurDuckk who is experiencing the same issue) by clearing out the Temp folder within the C:\Users which resolved my connectivity issue. I'm back online in-game.

I ran into the same problem. The EA app is online, but the game won't connect to the network.
