Option to interact with computers in game not available

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All the expansion packs except eco lifestyle All the game packs except strangerville Stuff packs: Tiny living, moschino, laundry day, vintage glamour, backyard, kids room, cool kitchen and perfect patio
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure. I think it might just be my game
What happens when the bug occurs? When hovering over a computer, the little cog symbol on the mouse is there, but when I click, nothing happens. Sometimes the sim will use the computer autonomously, but I cant make them use it.
What do you expect to see? A list of interactions that are selectable to use the computer
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I recently uninstalled and re-downloaded the game onto my laptop in an attempt to make more space on my hard drive. That could have done something? But I've done all the troubleshooting options I can find, but nothing has worked.
