Orange box keeps popping up when i load the game

hello,

basically whenever I click play to load the game it goes as far as the menu but then an orange box comes up saying the following; The save game you are attempting to load was saved with a newer version of the sims 4 than is currently installed. please update in order to safely load the save game'
This literally just happened randomly one day. The other night I saved the game turned to laptop off then the next day this come up. I haven't updated it since so I have no idea why it says I have. The only thing I can do on sims is create a sim. I can then move that sim into a house but I cant save and I cant decorate. Its very frustrating, ive tried repairing the game and ive even uninstalled and reinstalled but it still comes up the exact same thing. Its annoying paying all that money for a game that hardly ever works!
