Origin Sims4 download mac

i have just bought the sims4 on mac. downloaded it but i cant seem to open it and play it i haven't played it once yet all it shows is the game and it has the little pink cover saying new on the right corner ive clicked the game a bunch of times but wont open and let me play it?
