Despite showing up as downloaded on my EA app and in game, none of the objects from Pastel Pop or Desert Luxe show up in my buy/build mode. I have tried repairing the game, it has not helped.

Try Origin instead. You can re-download it from these link: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Client-Web-Technical/Downloading-and-installing-Origin-Windows-and-Mac/m-p/11915666- 3 years ago
Thank you downloading the Origin app again resolved my issue of not seeing the kits I purchased in game. I will not be purchasing anymore sims packs, kits, etc until they fix the EA App.

I re-install Origin & that worked for me. Even technical support couldn't help. The EA app needs fixing.

Thank you for posting this! It worked for me. I am at the stage where EA Desktop is basically saying "no other choice but to download me now if you want to play". *eye roll* Anyways, I re-installed Origin (despite the EA Desktop window preventing me for actually seeing it) and saw that in the bottom left corner it download. Went to my EA Games folder and saw the pack for it in there.
It doesn't appear as a separate kit like the Blooming Rooms or Bust the Dust. And shows up as normal base game . For me at least.
I think everyone agrees at this point EA Desktop is stupid and needs to be fixed immediately! Good luck everyone. ☹️
