@puzzlezaddict Tonight I tried to play Sims starting at the 20min mark.but I only got down to 15:39mark before the computer sort of froze up and said "montior going to sleep" and sort of shut itself off. I screwed up the files from the other week..so it means I can't post the log in any format which isn't a spreedsheet https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qhOBeQo2Fj86Y8TErAEo4N-ALV9PzIBC/view?usp=sharing

@Madamelee I'm sorry I didn't get to your hwinfo log last night; I just ran out of time. I can't see the log you uploaded yesterday (August 31). The one from today (September 1) looks fine though: temperatures are good, the CPU and GPU loads look normal, and there's nothing else obvious that would explain your computer shutting down. The crash dumps are from Origin, and I saw you were having trouble with it a couple days ago, which corresponds to the timestamps on the logs. So if this is all the dump files you can find, that means the Sims 4 crashes aren't generating any dumps of their own.
Since we're probably back to software now, rather than hardware, try playing in a clean boot. Don't open anything at all except for Origin and Sims 4. And play in a clean user data folder while testing this. I know you use mods during normal gameplay, but it's important to test with as few complicating factors as possible. Here's how to do a clean boot:

By the way, a forum admin responded to your post about not being able to reply to your own threads. Could you please try what was suggested?

@puzzlezaddict I tried a clean boot and I removed the Sims 4 folder entirely.. and in a fresh new save I went from 20mins down to 15:06 mins.-with no mods, or CC of any kind, there's nothing but the pre-mades plus a sim I made for the save. There's just the one save and I still have the problem
It like the computer thinks there's nothing there to work with because according to Event view I get audit events have been dropped by the transport 0. I included a minitool box (but I notice, there's nothing about Sims in the MTB or in the Event view-only Origin.
PS: I can't do what the form admin asks because my account setting are already on the default in regards to me not being able to reply to my own threads, I can get the option to reply if I'm signed out but not if I'm signed in. @EA_Spectre if i'm not signed in righ above the "twitter" section of the site- I get the "New Topic" option but if I'm signed in, the only way I can get new topic is via another person's thread- and my account is on the default and still can't reply to my own threads

@Madamelee Please run chkdsk and post the results. Here's how:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste "chkdsk /f /r c:" without quotes, and enter
- You'll be asked to allow a restart; say yes
- When the scan is done, hit Windows key-X again, and choose Command prompt (admin) or Powershell (admin) again
- Copy and paste this command without the outside quotes: "get-winevent -FilterHashTable @{logname="Application"; id="1001"}| ?{$_.providername –match "wininit"} | fl timecreated, message | out-file Desktop\CHKDSKResults.txt"
- A .txt file with the chkdsk results will appear on your desktop. Please attach it to a post.
On the other thread, please take screenshots of what you see when logged in and not logged in, both where you can't click Reply on a thread and when you can't click New Topic. Please make a separate post and attach those screenshots, and I'll merge them with the other thread.

I used event viewer just a second before you PM me back for the CHDSK results . I uploaded the results of the the program https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xILJjscF5axp1ea__efaVrAvNP1RSGD5/view?usp=sharing
as far as I can tell nothing's wrong (but I'm still a totally newbie with a computer)
Oh I forgot to mention it took a long time to get from 16% to the desktop..over 30mins

@Madamelee Yes, the chkdsk results look fine. Please now check your RAM. The most thorough tool is MemTest86, which requires a blank USB stick, or you can erase one to create the tool. Here's where to download it, and a very thorough guide for running it:
https://www.memtest86.com/index.html

If you don't have a spare USB stick, you can try the built-in Microsoft tool. However, it's not as reliable, so if your RAM passes, that doesn't necessarily mean it's fine. This guide is for Windows 8:
