No Sims 4 Folder In C:\Program Files\EA Games

So, I am trying to download a lighting mod into my game, however, when I went to go look for the Data/Delta folders. I noticed i couldn't find them nor the The Sims 4 folder in the Program Files to get to those folders. I searched through the internet and everywhere said it would be in Program Files, but i can't find it at all. I also looked in the documents folder under The Sims 4 folder but it's not there either, just my mods, saves, and tray files. It seems no one else had this problem? I thought the EA App may have removed it, not needing it but all the instructions say to replace the file in the DATA folder (which I DO NOT have).

The EA App says my game files are installed in C:\Program Files\EA App, but the only folder in it is The Sims 2 Legacy folder.

Here's some photos:

I also looked at my D drive and didn't find a folder there as well:

I also, saw that going into game and saving, then exiting makes the folder pop up, however before I went to install the lighting mod, I was in game in one of my saves. I saved and exited before trying to install and by the looks of my saves folder, all my saves are there.

I have no clue what to do but i really want my lighting mod bad in my game. I need to be able to have this folder. Plus I want The Sims 4 folder to actually be in the EA Games folder.

  • KaylaEstella  Please double-check the location the EA App says your game is installed, and list it here.  That's the location under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.  You said it listed Program Files\EA App, which is not the same as Program Files\EA Games.  Maybe that's a typo, but if not, you weren't looking in the correct location the first time.

EA_Claus  Not all mods go in the Mods folder.  The OP is trying to install a lighting mod, and these typically go into the game's program files.

@puzzleaddict I'm sorry. I did make a typo, I meant to type Program Files\EA Games. When I go to the folder that the EA App says that is where my games are, it only shows The Sims 2 Legacy folder, shown in the first photo. The EA Games or Electronic Arts folder does not even show up in the Program Files of my C drive. My D drive has an Electronic Arts folder that is empty but no EA Games folder. The only The Sims folder I see is the one that has my saves, tray files, and mods.

Lighting mods are installed differently. They are usually installed into the DATA folder of your game to affect the world lighting. I'm missing the DATA/DELTA folders to install them in, which is usually in program files

  • KaylaEstella  But the game does run?  If you have a Steam install (I know you mentioned the EA App, but maybe you've used both at times), this is the default install location:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4

Otherwise, the game of course has to be somewhere, so let's find it.

Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter TS4_x64 in the search field in the upper-right corner of the window.  The search will take a little while to run (you'll see a progress bar).  Underneath each result, you'll see the file path; expand the window sideways if you need to in order to see the full path.  TS4_x64 will be in [install location]\The Sims 4\Game\Bin, and the Data and Delta folder you're looking for are directly inside this same Sims 4 folder.

I've never played sims on steam, but I did look there and didn't find a folder.

The game does run so I figured it was installed on my PC.

I did the search that you said and did find the folder, however, it's in the Origin Games folder in my D drive for some reason. Thank you.

Is there any way to have my computer to create an EA Games folder in my program files? considering Origin isn't an app anymore. It's not a big deal if not.
