(PC) Game freezes randomly after the latest patch

Since the last patch that brought back pregnancy my game randomly freezes so bad I have to do a ctrl-alt-delete forced shutdown to get out of it. Then I can restart, play a little longer and suddenly...

I created a new savefile after removing the sims 4 folder, forcing the game to create a new one, managed to play about 3 hours before the exact type of freeze happened again. This time while in live mode, while changing between the time speed-ups. When I checked the save folder the "scratch folder" wasn't deleted, after I forced closed the game.
