Please Help! Lost all of my CC and Mods

lost all of my CC on Sims 4. My game was freezing every time I opened it. I read online that if I move the Sims 4 file to the desktop them it will help. So, I did that, but not before removing my mods. Now, everything is gone in the file and gone in my Sims 4 mod manager. Is it possible to recover them?

  • @jairkrnndie  OneDrive may have synced your files, so you could check on onedrive.com (both My Files and the Recycle Bin) or here:

    C:\Users\your username\OneDrive\Documents

You can also search your computer for stray files.  I'd suggest using Everything, from VoidTools, which is a more efficient search tool than the one built into Windows.  Open it and search for .package and .ts4script , the two file extensions you'd see from your mods.  If it finds any files, you'll be able to see where they're located and can recover them from there.

  • @jairkrnndie  What did you do with the Mods folder?  You say you moved it before moving the Sims 4 folder to the desktop, so it should be somewhere.

Please also let me know whether OneDrive is running on this computer, even if you never use it.

Unfortunately, I didn't move the mods folder out of the complete Sims 4 folder before moving it to my desktop. I have OneDrive but I don't use it. Could it be there? Thank you for your response!

  • @jairkrnndie Hmm, that's not supposed to happen. You're usually supposed to keep the sims in it's original folder, same with the mods folder. You'll have to locate every item and add them back. And you didn't turn the firewall back on, did you? And yeah, sadly you'll be organizing your folders. And check the trashcan. Otherwise, the computer is just broken and it's a glitch, or maybe that always happens and after that you'll have to get everything back and never do that again if you can help it.
