Potentially corrupted tray files

I made a few Sims in CAS (in one family), then had to leave, so I saved them in my library to come back to it later but something must have gone wrong because when I tried loading the family in CAS again my game crashed. Trying to place them in a world also made the game crash. I looked in the tray folder and there are only two files of that household - .householdbinary and .trayitem - but no .hhi or .sgi, like with the other items. I could remake the family but it would take all that time again, so I thought to try asking here first if anybody knows a solution?

  • Nudny_ktos  Sorry for the late reply.  But there is no fix here, unfortunately.  When these files are corrupt, they can't be repaired, and if they're missing entirely, there's no recovering them.  Hopefully you've since moved on and created a new family that's working for you.

If this happens again, please let me know what antivirus you use and whether OneDrive is running on this computer, even if you never use it.
