Problem with 64-bit/32-bit Sims 4

I recently bought Cats and Dogs for The Sims 4 yesterday. Whenever I went onto the game it said that I was running the 32 bit version of the game, and that I needed to change it to the 64 bit version of the game if I didn't want it to be lagging too much. I went out the Sims 4, and on origin it says that I am running the 64 bit version of the game. I do not understand why it won't run the 64 bit version, when it has been running the 64 bit version for 2 years now. I played the Sims 4 earlier this month, and I did not have this problem. I tried to run the game on the 32 bit version, then change to 64 bit version to see if that would knock it back to normal, but I still had no luck. Has anyone else had this problem? or is there a reason this might occur? I really want to be able to play the new expansion for the game, but now i feel like I wasted my money if I can never play it. (I tried playing it after this message came up, and it was unbearably lagging.) If anyone can help, please do!!

I have the same problem. My friend recently gifted me the Cats and Dogs earlier today and i went on to play it, it said the same thing. I followed all of the steps but whenever i went into origin and to the game properties, it didnt give me an option to change. It only had the option to change the language

is the game and Origin in the same language ? I think there still is a problem that the game loads in 32 bit if you have them in a different language. If you make sure that the Origin and game language match, it should load the 64 bit version if you have set it that way.

If that's not the case, could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

    Hi @moeshaw13

if you don't have an option to change, you might only have a 32 bit OS. Could you please post your specs as per link above. Thanks
