Problems with Sims 4 Legacy Edition
I've had the sims for a while now, but after some complications, I had to reinstall the game. Suddenly, it forced me to download the legacy edition of the game, otherwise, I couldn't play, so I just went ahead and installed it. However, I couldn't play with the new university pack, even though I had just purchased it! When I start up the sims, I only see the packs I own, and I can't see the details of the other packs (I do have an 18+ account). I do have a 64-bit CPU, but it still forced me to download this new legacy edition. Is there a way that I can uninstall this edition, and just play the original game?
@Murry2211 You could remove the Legacy Edition by uninstalling the game and deselecting the LE when you reinstall. But you don't need to do that—just tell Origin to run the standard version. Open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options, and choose 64-bit from the dropdown menu. If you don't see the option, right-click on the Sims 4 icon and select Repair, then look again.
By the way, the LE files are 6 GB in total, so going through the trouble of uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't seem worth it unless you're really low on free storage.
