Quick question concerning Screenshots folder

I am already aware of Where to find my screenshots on PC.

(Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 4/Screenshots folder.)

My question is:

If I wanted to save a screenshot, am I safe to move Screenshots directly from the Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 4/Screenshots folder, and over to a folder in Pictures, by dragging and dropping (from Documents to Pictures)? Or is there something else that needs to be done first since its currently saved under Documents?

I hope my question is making sense and that I am posting in the right spot for this kind of question. 😃

Realized I am not at all familiar with saving In-Game screenshots from the Sims, and was not sure if there is going to be a difference with saving regular computer screenshots or not.

  • @Wholesome_Goth  You can move the screenshots wherever you want; they're readable by your OS without any special treatment.  You could also move the entire Screenshots folder elsewhere on your computer, maybe rename it (e.g. Sims 4 screenshots wedding) to keep organized, and the game will create a new one for you.

    Thanks for the reply. 🙂

I don't expect to be having too many pictures that are worth saving outside of the game, but at some point I hope to find something I could potentially use.

@Wholesome_Goth  As an addition, I remember being very careful not to fill up the user folder for The Sims 3 with files. I'm not sure The Sims 4 is as sensitive in that regard, and I don't use the in-game screenshot function, but you could test to move your screenshots out, if many, if you ever have a slow game for instance.
