Seems there's a satellite dish you can buy with which you can turn abductions off. Just put it on your lot.

You need to use the cheat bb.showhiddenobjects and then type satellite dish or use the filter to find it.

You can invent a satellite dish if your Sim is a scientist. The dish has an option to turn off alien abductions for the lot it’s on. It seems you have to do this each day though

can't answer the find the gender question maybe the sim needs to be a high level to do that  hopefully someone else can answer that

I'm pretty late but you get the ability to do so at level 6 (R.N)
