Re: CC Problem

Hello, I've been using CC for a long time. But this time, I have thought of deleting my old CCs and start anew so I downloaded lots of new CCs mostly 'sets' and deleted the old ones. I double checked the file type and they are all .package files. I tried putting them one by one so I'd know what works or not. I only checked if the game would load or not when I was putting the CCs one by one, but I really didn't checked if they'd appear. When I thought they're all working since the game finally loaded, it appeared that most of my CCs didn't appear especially on build mode. My CAS CCs were okay, just the furniture stuff that only didn't fully showed, only a few did.

I hope anyone could help me. Without CCs, I feel empty. lol But please, do help me.

It sounds as though you've gone through your mods and custom content, but did you clear your game cache and delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder to help with troubleshooting.

    How to Delete Cache Files

If some custom content still isn't showing up in-game, make sure you've got the options turned on.

Go to Options Menu > Game Options > Other > to make sure Enable Custom Content and Mods, plus Script Mods Allowed. - This is helpful if you are using script mods.

You will need to exit the game and reload it for the mod to show as active when loading the game.

Another tips is: Remove all the filters in CAS to help make the cc appear.

If the custom content is still not appearing you might want to try the 50/50 method:

    1. Move all the mods and cc out into a temporary folder on the desktop.
    2. Move a few files back at a time. Load the game to make sure it loads and everything is good.
    3. Delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder.
    4. Repeat steps 1 - 3 till there is no more files to check.

** While your testing, don't save the game. If you find any problems, delete the mod or custom content file.

Custom content can become outdated with most new game patches. If the game works when the Mods folder is removed, then one or more of the mods and/or custom content has become outdated and will need to be removed or replaced. EA/Maxis aren't responsible for broken mods/cc. It's up to the creators to fix.
