Re: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 DLC shows as installed, won't load in-game

Okay...makes sense. I tried to do that but every time I do, they force me to install the 2nd sims 4.

@Spring846  If you do a clean uninstall of both Sims 4 versions (Steam and EA App), then reinstall from Steam, does the EA App still try to download a second copy of the game?  Can you download only your packs from Manage > Manage add-ons, or from the list of packs under DLC/Add-ons on the main Sims 4 page?

Also, are your Steam and EA accounts properly linked?  To test, and please do test since this could be a new issue, load any EA site and try to sign in with your Steam credentials.  If the accounts are linked, you'll land in the correct EA account.  If you see anything else, let me know.

I ask because this isn't normal behavior from the EA App, but you're also not the first person to describe it.

Sorry it took so long to test this out I got super busy. I did try another clean uninstall and steam still doesn't see them as add-ons. I also did log in with my steam account, and it seemed promising, needing me to check a few boxes, however steam still doesn't show that I have more DLC, and it doesn't show in game. I assume this all does have something to do with account links and there wanting to have 2 sims 4s. Thank you for trying to help.

@Spring84  You haven't posted from this account before.  Does that mean you have multiple EA accounts?  If so, which one is linked to your Steam account?  You can test this by trying to sign into any EA site with your Steam credentials.  If you land in the correct EA account, those two accounts are linked properly; if anything else happens, let me know.

Please also let me know where you bought the packs that Steam doesn't recognize: through Steam itself, through the EA account that's linked to the Steam account, or to a different EA account.

@jordrockin123  I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue.  Please see the first post and accepted solution on page one.
