Re: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 saves/user content disappearing (PC)

Hi,

i am sorry to say this, but i am very very angry right now. I read about the ingame rewards, after some time of trying to find out how to unlock that **** i tried repairing and after that reinstalling my TS4 .... now imagine my face after i boot up the game again and it says

NEW GAME

I LOST ALL MY SAVES! WHAT THE HELL EA!

(i used the EA Launcher/App to uninstall&reinstall, i was logged in, i had stable internet connection) Now imagine spenden hours upon hours crafting your perfect house/ household/ working your sim to the Bone to get those achievement points and gain the Traits to fit their story only to lose it all because a horrible Idea of "free" Stuff.

I feel like someone * up hard. I have never had problems with reinstalling games before cause normal launchers either backup saves to their servers, or place them in a seperate location on your PC so that they dont get yeeted into the Void.

Why did EA think "free" stuff like this was a good idea?

Why the hell is are they not unlocking themselves? [do they not tell us when they unlock and we just need to login daily and pray that we get lucky?]

But most importantly!

How do i get my ***😬*** saves back?

@firtsscotch thank you @puzzlezaddict i was very frustrated but i found the saves on my PC. The game didnt recognize them anymore because the language switched when i reinstalled it. I had an empty folder in english and one with my saves in my native language... the 'free' stuff is still not working but at this point i am just happy i didnt lose anyhing

@firtsscotch  That's great to hear.  You should be able to copy over the UserSettings.ini file from the folder in your native language and get all the event-related content back, but let me know if it doesn't work.  I haven't tested swapping files between languages, only between computers using the same language.

Please do make a backup copy of UserSettings.ini when testing, in case the old one needs to be edited before it works in the new language.  Placing it in the correct Sims 4 folder without an edit may overwrite the copy you move.
