Re: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 Unable to Start, Already Running

I am unable to launch my sims 4 game from the EA app.

I keep getting the error message:

Unable to start:

The Sims™ 4 is already running.

I have tried almost everything suggested such as repairing the game, clearing the cache, changed the settings in the controlled folder access and allowed the TS4_x64.exe file, moved the sims 4 file onto the desktop, laucnhed the EA app as administrator, I have also set extra permissions and gave everyone the read/write permission level but nothing has helped! 

I even tried deleting all my files for the EA app and the sims 4 and reinstalled everything after but it still will not work, I am not sure what to do.
