I'm not even using Reshade for the Sims 4. And this is happening. xD Please fix this! D:
- crinrict7 years agoHero+@Kataxenna What Windows version are you at ? Are you not using ReShade at all (aka not installed) or just not for Sims 4 ?
Then nope I don't have it.

@ActuallySammy You might wanna post in the mac forum. Maybe someone there has an idea.
Maybe it's some other program running in the back but I have no idea how that all works on Macs.
I don't use reshade and I'm having this issue
I started a fresh game and only used mods that have been updated for the patch, so I'm not sure what could be causing it. I'm on PC
Im on Version 1903
And I went and uninstalled Reshade entirely from my computer and still no go.
This is really irritating considering i can't even make a sim with the new expansion pack.
I've repaired, Re-installed. I've done all that. With mods, without. It doesn't fix this issue. D:

@Carhenia Are you also on Windows 1903 ?
Have you tried a clean boot ?

If it works in that mode, then it's a background program interfering and you will need to find out which one.Other possibilities: Gaming mouse with high sensitivity. Change the settings or try another mouse

This is so weird to me. Is it the windows update or the reshade lol. Either way it goes I’m using both the 1903 and reshade. I wonder the people who use reshade did they update reshade from the last update I think it’s the 4. Something that came out a couple months ago. Everything is working fine for me.
Hmm.. Im entirely miffed about this one. Its just silly. I've never had problems before with my gaming mouse, But it is older. Maybe i just need a new one?
- crinrict7 years agoHero+@Kataxenna What happens if you turn down the sensitivity ?
The sensitivity is already waaaaaaaaaay turned down on my mouse as it is, Thats why i am confused. T.T
Its only at like 1700 DPI. And thats slow for this mouse. xD Any slower and it wont move across my screen without being in slowmo. LOL XD
- szanne70007 years agoSeasoned Vanguard@Kataxenna @crinrict Agreed - first thing I tried ☹️
- crinrict7 years agoHero+@Kataxenna Did you try a different mouse as well if you have one ?
I dont have another mouse.[Yet, Will reply when it arrives] However, this didn't happen before both windows update and Island living. So i dont know.
I legit bought a brand new gaming mouse last night. Same issues. No Reshade installed on Sims 4.
Pretty sure this isn't my mouse at this point. I think its something either from Windows update side or the new expansion pack. I'm pretty sad. Spend a crap ton of money on the Sims in general, and then random issues like this pop up and its somehow my fault. xD
I hope this is being looked into. 💔
- szanne70007 years agoSeasoned Vanguard@Kataxenna @crinrict Just a firm reminder - the spinning started AFTER the Windows 10 1903 update and BEFORE the pre Island Living update and the release of Island Living...
...I had swapped my mouse for my son's wired mouse and there wasn't the spinning (although I was in Live and Build mode, not CAS)... but that mouse doesn't work worth a d***, if you know what I mean. Sigh. I had not played between the windows update and then Island living. So i dont know if it is windows or the game itself. It might be Windows.
- @crinrict i am not on Windows 1903, im on 1803
I changed my mouse sensitivity down and although it barely moved, the screen still spinned at the same rate as before.
i removed all my script mods and only kept ones that have been updated for the patch and removed ones that had been 'confirmed as compatible', that seemed to have fixed the problem. - crinrict7 years agoHero+@Carhenia Interesting. What mods are you using (please only name them, no links and no naming of adult mods) ?
@Kataxenna Try going into Origin > application settings > origin in-game > then switch off origin in-game. This worked for me.
