Re: Files Issue?
Sorry I took so long to reply; I was away on a trip. I linked the screenshot of the inside of my saves folder. I have a few mods inside the folder as well for some reason (they automatically downloaded there). Hope it helps?

@hfheJsujeJF I see a few normal save names, a large number of backups, and a few saves that are named in a way that the game can't read them. In order to be usable, a save needs to have a specific format: Slot_ followed by an eight-digit hexidecimal (digits 0 to 9, a to f) number followed by .save .
The files with a .verx on the end are the backups, and you can just renumber these, so they don't share a number with any existing save, and delete the .verx extension. Some of your saves have an extra number in them, e.g. .save 1.verx , which makes them useless until you rename them in the appropriate format. Ignore the warnings about possibly making the files unusable by renaming them; doing so won't damage the saves, and if you get the name wrong, you can always try again.
The other point is that it looks like you might be viewing your OneDrive folder, not the saves folder the game is reading. I can't tell for sure because you didn't include the file path and didn't list it separately (that's why I asked for that, so I would know if there was an issue), so you'll need to check for yourself. Again, the file path to the saves folder needs to exactly match the file path you see in-game.

So I basically rename the files so that they are all different numbers (if there are dupes) and change them all to .save? Also, how do I see the file path in game? I was indeed going through OneDrive but it has since expired so I don't use it anymore but it is still there. I do have the saves file path through:
Steam LIbrary > steamapps > common > The Sims 4 > Data > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves
I am so sorry btw. I am a typical netizen with a brain the size of a walnut so I am very much sorry in advance if I did not understand what to do properly. I wont do it YET until i am positive that that's what I need to though, so I'll give myself that bit of a brain.
@hfheJsujeJF Yes, you rename the saves so they all consist of Slot_ followed by different eight-digit numbers followed by .save , and the game should read them.
I don't know what that Steam file path is supposed to be: there shouldn't even be an Electronic Arts folder within the Data folder. When I said find the path to the user folder in-game, I meant use the instructions in the link I posted.
Does the number matter or do they just all have to be different? And not going through steam my file path is Documents > EA > The Sims 4 > saves . It is the same as the link said if I don't go through the steam files.
@hfheJsujeJF I personally would number the saves sequentially, or in groups, to keep things organized. But technically no, the order doesn't matter, with the possible exception of very high numbers. But four or five zeroes followed by any three nonzero digits should be fine.
