My game is crashing too, however it crashes right after the title screen music starts. I thought it was mods/cc so for the last two hours I’ve been sorting through everything, and then I discovered it started to crash without any mods/cc at all. It seems as though ALL of my cc, even unproblematic ones like makeup and skin details are causing it to crash which doesn’t usually happen after an update. :/
I’m going to try playing for a little bit with the mods that I don’t *think* are breaking my game and see what happens. I’m able to successfully open the game with the few I’ve found let me. Just confused why very insignificant CC is crashing my game, like eyeshadow, shoes, eyebrows, etc. Maybe once I start playing it’ll crash like it is for you guys.
I have just had the latest patch for Sims 4 installed on my game but now. my game shuts down while I'm playing. I have shut down and restarted my computer a couple of times but its still doing it. HELP!!

I would try to Repair your Sim 4. You can do this by going to your Origin Library, Right Clicking Sims 4 and Clicking Repair. It might take a while to repair.

@C_El_LipsSame problem here on PC, roughly every 30 minutes, and always doing different activities - on one occasion my sim was just standing round doing nothing.
Hi! So my game crashed three times today. I went through the usual process of repairing, shutting down and restarting the computer etc. What finally seemed to end it was shutting off the Mods and Scripts. Particularly MC Command Center, which I suspect may be the issue. But if I know Deaderpool, he'll have a new version soon after the release of Snowy Escape. Sure though, it could be any of the CC I had on here, but MCCC is one of those that needs to be updated with each patch or it flips out. It could also be an issue with outdated CC that could be causing MCCC to flip out therefore causing the game to flip out. Either way, try turning off Mods and Scripts and see how it goes. Turn on the Crash Reporting in Origin too, just in case. Best of luck to all. - JD TCC
Hi, a few days before the November patch my game suddenly started automatically shutting off just as it gets to the very first loading screen. The only way I can ever get it to load up fully is by resetting it to factory settings (by removing the sims 4 folder from the electronic arts folder and letting the game create a new one before re-adding all my old files) - after doing this the game works fine but if I shut it down the next time i try to open it, it will start crashing again.
I've tried:
-Repairing through origin
-Removing all mods and cc
-Resetting to factory settings - the first time I did this I tried loading the game after adding each folder individually and it worked every time until I shut it down after adding them all - then it started crashing again next time I tried to open the game
-Updating graphics drivers
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

when my sim eats at a resturant the game crashes and returns to desktop
Hey all!
So when I opened the Sims 4 yesterday after the update (on 11/10), my Sims 4 screen was completely black. I exited the black and removed all custom mods, then tried to shut down the game. It would not shut down, so i restarted my computer. When I tried again, it was all black right when i opened it and did not allow me to access anything else when i pressed the windows button. The windows bar was all black, so pressing the windows button only made my toolbar with different apps pop up. I tried clicking on one of those, but i can't access it because my Windows bar won't pop-up, it just continues to show the black screen. I cannot access Origin or the game files. What should I do? Thank y'all for any suggestions you have! 💖
So i've never had issues with the sims, however today I was playing and my sim went to make a meal and he placed the unmade meal on the table and it disappeared from the queue, he went to make another meal without prompt and did the same thing. now whenever i select resume meal or clean up the game instantly crashes 100% of the time, i've restarted my computer, made sure im up to date on updates, not sure whats up with it

Is it only when you eat at the restaurant ? Is this an existing save or also if you try a new one for testing purposes ?
@amberspitaels Looks like your game is modded. Could you test without mods/cc installed ?
I already deleted the mods from my game this morning. But I think I've made a little mistake with that crash file. It's dated from yesterday, when I still had mods activitated. Today I deleted them all, and my (saved) game still crashed. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a more up to date crash file from today in my Sims4 folder.
Do you have any Mods or CC? If so move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

Please try to start a new game for testing see if it happens there. Did you at any time have Basemental mod installed?
i'm currently doing a repair to see if that helps but i will test that if it continues.
the only things i have are base game and offical game expansions etc. this computer has never had any mods or CC installed

Ever since I have updated Sims 4 with the November 2020 update my game either crashes or freezes during play. I usually get a little time in and then it crashes or freezes with a sound loop/glitch sound and not a😬ble to click on anything and have to manually close the game or restart my PCP.
