So I've had this problem before and just exited the game entirely and reloaded it before and it worked but for some odd reason nothing is working.....hopefully this gets fixed soon.
- Do you have this issue only on a particular save game or on all of them ?- both the automatic and my save aren't working.
- Can you start a new game for testing purposes ok ?- NO I CAN NOT AND THATS WHERE I LOST IT HOW CAN I NOT START A NEW GAME?
- Do the backups of the saves work (Here's instructions how to access them) ?- not understanding bc i can't seem to find the file/document or whatever I have windows 8 too but not sure how much of a difference that is.
Questions about your save game
- Have you been switching families or played one ?- I have multiple families on the one save and I'd like to switch between them to level their skills and stuff so i have ultimately have a lot of friends with sims i like.
- Do you remember what careers/aspiration the Sims in your household were in ?- the last one I played had an entertainer career and it was a household of one. The other households are pretty big so that would be kind of a long list. I'm wondering if maybe too many families is the issue? but that really shouldnt be the case but the family i visited with the one sim had someone in the athlete career and i have two other sims who are in the business career (I think i know one is).
- Are there children/teens in your family ?- Yes there are in quite a few households i dont think any kids anymore but teens yes.
- If you started a new game and had this issue, did you put in an older Sims family or completly start over from scratch ?- I tried using an older sim family that I saved to the library but it didn't work (prob bc of the backup above or deleting saves but idk how). What did work was starting a new family and then can import the sims.
- Did you downloaded a venue/Sim from the gallery ? Once this new save started, I tried placing a house from the gallery but it didn't work at all. so the new save is of no use to me if i cant use the gallery.
If i could find these save files maybe then things would work but I'm not having any luck and i did save all of my sims files. I tried the Vista but that didn't work and it also lags when trying to load like the moving outer shadow of the sim diamond thing lags and then returns to the map. It makes the sound like it did load but it doesn't.
