I had this same problem a night before this and I just did a new  file for my saved files, since I wast trying to solve this and It worked at first but since I did something with the save files I losed all of my houses, households (Not a clever thing to do at all.),

basically started all of again.

I was playing with my household (McBeth), when I just left the game when she was at the museum and when I opened the Sims 4 again it just loaded back to the world menu.

Is this what you meant by game and family? I`m not sure if I understanded this properly.

@EmmaStar11 Did you try all the suggestions on the first page ?

I'm going to be uploading my saves folder soon, but do you know when the next update will be? I can play after I moved the folder to the desktop, but I love my saved worlds and I don't want to loose them. Thanks. I hope my world will help this problem.
