Re: Game crashes after 12/12 update.

@puzzlezaddict So by removing the sims 4 folder and starting the game again it did work... do I just need to start over or is there a way to get my game working again?

@kailieskye  You can transfer your existing content from your old folder to your new one in batches, testing each time to see whether the game still runs properly.  Start with mods and custom content, if there's any you want to keep.  If a batch causes another crash, keep splitting it into smaller batches and testing until you've identified the problem file(s).  To be thorough, delete localthumbcache.package each time you quit.

When you have your mods and cc sorted out, you can move the contents of Saves and Tray into your new game folder as well.  Be sure to delete whatever is in the new folders before you transfer the old content, so you don't get any confusion with replacing or combining files.

If a save happens to cause crashes, you can try to load a backup instead.
