Re: Game crashing after update 22/10/2024

Hi there, I've been going through forums and trying every solution I can find to launch my game. I have an EA account linked to Steam and cannot find anywhere on EA where it allows me to try this option- when going into manager for EA with sims it only gives my add-on options for dlcs. If i go in through steam, it doesn't give me an option like this that I could find to change to -dx9. Any suggestions?

Also  on the next suggestion would like to add that i have a gaming laptop and when I go into the multiple windows option for me there is no way to turn it off, my computer just recognizes if there is a screen attached.

I really appreciate your input, I've been working on the for days now and am just loosing hope on the situation

  • @jordon08840  unfortunately this didn't work for me. thank you for trying to help.

My issue: My game will load as usual, I can click on 'Resume' and it'll take me to to my player and even let me hit 'play' but after the loading screen goes away, the screen goes back to the home worlds screen. No matter how many times I push play, add my sim back to the game from the gallery, or create a new sim, the game always goes back to the home world screen and gives me the option of playing my household but never actually loading the game to play. I'm currently trying the uninstall/reinstall method but this is getting annoying and old fast and requires too much trial and error to fix what stupid EA broke 😞
