@Wholesome_Goth  Please disconnect all nonessential peripherals and see whether it makes a difference.  If not, do you have a different mouse and keyboard you can test with?  Whether your current ones are broken or there's something else going on, it would be useful to know whether the same issue happens with different peripherals.

    I think I figured out it could be tied into the Ultra Speed 3 button...you  know where the sims go to sleep or are at work and it usually switches to that speed. I think some of the times it won't stay paused is when it's on that speed. 

    It's just a thought I had when the issue popped up yesterday and once again I forget about hitting escape to pause. 😬😂🤦🏼‍♀️
