Having it always charging (even if it has battery) while I play doesn't harm the battery as such, right?

@Rori-chan22  Having the laptop constantly plugged in and specifically charged to 100% will cause the battery to age a little faster; how much depends on how it's made.  If this bothers you, and you don't want to replace the battery as soon down the line, there are free programs out there that allow you to set a max charge, so you could for example tell the laptop to only charge to 75-80% and stay there.  (Some computers also have this feature built in.)  This would be the best way to preserve battery health, and you could of course override the setting when you needed a full charge for whatever reason.

Batteries don't last forever, and cheap batteries don't stay at their peak for very long.  Decay is unavoidable, and just part of owning portable devices, but there are steps you can take to slow the decline.  Aside from the above, try not to charge it to more than 80% overall, and don't let it get lower than 20%, other than once a month or so when you charge to 100 and let it get below 5.  And keep in mind that a battery is relatively simple to replace, if and when you need it.

I have The Sims (my game and everything) on ​​a pendrive as a backup, to put it in the new one I just have to copy that folder to the documents and download EA, right?

@Rori-chan22  You certainly can transfer the entire Sims 4 user folder if you want.  I would however suggest transferring only the files you want to keep instead, for example the Tray files and not the whole Tray folder.  And discard any files the game generates on its own, so you have fresh copies of everything.

The only exceptions are UserSetting.ini and/or accountDataDB.package, if you ever earned the first batch of login rewards.  The data used to be stored in UserSetting, but after last week's patch, it was automatically transferred to accountDataDB.  If you haven't played since then, just put back UserSetting and the game should transfer the data for you.

And just in case you don't already know (some people don't), please don't install Sims 4 itself (through the EA App) into Documents.  Almost anywhere else is fine, including the default C:\Program Files\EA Games.  It's best to keep the game's program files separate from the user data, which is always in Documents > Electronic Arts.

@Rori-chan22  Save data is only in the corresponding save file.  Tray files are for the objects you see in your in-game library, like when you want to place a house or family you've already made, or save your work so you can place it in a new save.

I don't see anything on that site that has hardware as good as the Lenovo's and is under 1000€ before tax.  If the store's sales people are trying to talk you into a Victus, I'm not surprised—the prices are significantly higher for the same hardware.  But even if they were the same, the Victus has a dimmer screen, and the LOQ is overall a good-quality laptop too.

It's because I read that the HP battery was better, my previous laptop was an HP (just not a gaming one) so I started to have doubts again

update: there I talked about the Lenovo but they also told me about an MSI laptop with the same features but with an Intel i7, I know that Sims don't care about that but who knows if in the future they will

@Rori-chan22  The MSI is fine but not as good as the LOQ.  But it's your decision.

The Tray folder has several files per in-game Library entry, so make sure you're copying all the files with the same timestamp, or some or all of your content won't work.

Oh well, could you tell me what makes the LOQ better than the MSI?

The guy who advised me there told me that both had practically the same features, but having the i7 convinced me (I know that for Sims it's not necessary) but in the future nobody knows and it was only 50 euros more

@Rori-chan22  The LOQ's screen is better, it likely has better battery life (the i7 eats more power too), and it's less noisy.

I have looked at the screen and I really don't see the difference, otherwise I don't know if it is noisy and the battery was told to be practically the same; even so, there is no battery that can last many hours playing
