It sounds like you may potentially be logging into the EA app with a different account than the account you had originally purchased Horse Ranch on. You can verify this by looking over the order history for your EA account- if you do not see a purchase here for Horse Ranch, that means it's been purchased on a different EA account.
I'd recommend checking any emails you have for the email receipt of your purchases so you know which account to login to the EA app to.
