@iseadoll  Hit crtl-alt-delete, choose the Task Manager, click on Sims 4, and click End Task.  If that doesn't help, hit crtl-alt-delete again and sign out; this will force-close all running applications.

If this happens again, please move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop; when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no  content.  (Your saves and other content will be in the folder you've moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If the game crashes or freezes when you're using the clean folder, please run a dxdiag and atttach it to a post.
