Re: My Sims 4 expansion packs aren't showing up in Steam.

@JadaCamille  You need to install Sims 4 through Steam, then download your packs (but not a second copy of the base game) through the EA App.  The option should be under Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons.  The packs should install into the folder for the Steam-installed base game, and everything should load from there.

If your packs show as installed in the EA App but don't load in-game, you probably have this issue:

Please see the first post and accepted solution on page one.

Origin doesn't work in Windows anymore, which is why you get an error when trying to install it.

Thanks for the reply! I attempted deleting EA launcher, Steam and The Sims 4 to start fresh with one copy of The Sims 4. I've redownloaded everything and now the game will not load at all.  My expansion packs are still in the EA Launcher. It says it is going to access the Standard edition through Steam but the game never launches.

@j2h74vb17ojq  Did you buy the packs from EA or from Steam or Epic?  If not EA, is your EA account still properly linked to the one where you made the purchases?  The way to test is to try to sign into an EA site (this one is fine) with the credentials for the other account.  If you land in the correct EA account, they're linked; if anything else happens, let me know.

If you did buy directly from EA, please go to ea.com, sign in, select Account Settings > Order History, and see whether your purchases are listed there.  If they are, it's possible that clearing the EA App's cache will fix the problem.

If not, let me know.  If your purchases don't show up, then you're likely in the wrong account even if you're sure it's the same.  This is a common problem after the switch from Origin to the EA App—many players have made a second account without being aware of it.

I know this was a while ago but I’m struggling with something similar! I had a random update about 7 hours ago and it started glitched so I uninstalled and reinstalled in steam, it says all my packs are in my library but they’re not showing up in the game even though the game says I own them, then I go to ea, and it just tells me to “manage through steam” it says “download able” but is already downloaded through steam. It’s the only account I’ve ever had for both so ik they’re the right accounts. I’ve tried repairing folders, the EA app, Steam, I’ve tried verifying the game through steam I’ve even tried a reset and uninstalled and deleted everything but it still says I own them but they’re not in game??? I go to pack selection in the main menus and it doesn’t give me a single pack to select they’re all greyed out? I’m genuinely confused as can be at this point …
